At present, although natural preservatives cannot completely replace chemical preservatives due to their antibacterial effect, stability, and price, and composite preservatives based on them are still under development, natural preservatives are rapidly developing in the fields of food, medicine, and other industries due to their unparalleled unique advantages such as strong antibacterial properties, safety and non toxicity, good thermal stability, and wide range of action. 


It can be expected that natural preservatives and composite preservatives will be the main development direction of preservatives in the future, and will inevitably replace chemical preservatives in our lives. The focus of Chinese scientists' work should be on the research of extracting natural preservatives from Chinese herbal medicine, making full use of China's abundant Chinese herbal resources, and improving the scientific utilization value of Chinese herbal medicine.
